My Name is Kevin Weaver I'm the Guy That got engaged to Karen Slusser September 29, 2007 at the Bloomsburg Fair Demolition Derby.. I did this by Painting on my Demolition Derby Car " Karen Slusser will you marry me?? " & won a Yes !!! I Just wanted to say Thank you to everyone that gave me a helping hand in pulling this off..

I would also like to let everyone know that I didn’t plan on all this publicity. I told Karen that when I ask her, it was going to be big and bold. I did not realize how big and bold it was going to be. When I came up with the idea it was to be different not to follow others. Just to be myself do it my own way to combine the woman I love with the hobby I love. But, I would like to clear things up. When they say I came in third. Not third in the derby but third in my heat only after I knocked the other car loose and he went on to the final round and I didn’t. But I still won when she answered yes..

The other reason I did this is because she said she would tell everyone how much she loves me. I just wanted her to know the feeling is mutual. I give credit to men who ask on bill boards or score boards but I always felt that when a man asks a woman over dinner if the woman is lucky he will get down on one knee. But still he whispers or quietly asks as if he is bashful or embarrassed about it. As if everyone there doesn’t know what he is doing. Be proud, be bold. If you are going to make a scene be seen.

Karen and I both have been in bad relationships in the past. She has had two failed marriages. The first I only heard bits and pieces and how he treated her. Her second was a controlling person. Who cant admit his wrong doing and denies his running around and his relationship in Arkansas says she was a friend even though there my-space said other wise he said she was a friend but she was freaky, spacey, and air headed. And could not ever care for some one else’s kids. I will give my ex a little credit at least she could admit to her running around. But like her ex my ex and her Christian family said it is all justified. Although my ex’s family said they dint want any thing from me and didn’t want my money they had more than enough of there own. But they sure were first in line to dig deep into my pockets. And try to give my motorcycle to a family member. I did get the bike back.

Karen and I are looking to set a date for the wedding. But since we are both paying for it we are waiting till we have saved up enough money for a cruise for are honey moon.

We both have custody of are daughters. Even though mine cost me my Harley Davidson to pay for the lawyers fees. Just thought I would tell you a bit about us. We have been called rednecks for what I did and I like it.

Jeff Foxworthy would most likely say you might be a redneck if you write your marriage proposal on the side of a demolition derby car.

I also asked Karen to marry me on the day that would have been her 16^th wedding anniversary. Now I am the lucky man to share that day and memories with the love of my life!!!!! I LOVE YOU KAREN
